Exposing students across all disciplines to the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning

The GenAI Nexus Consortium seeks to contribute a highly trained, well-qualified workforce of students from underserved populations, minimally represented in GenAI fields including data science, AI, and machine learning. A key component to increasing student participation in the GenAI field is early and repeated exposure. To achieve this goal UTSA GenAI faculty leads have transformed existing lessons within core curriculum courses to highlight the usefulness and versatility of these technologies across all academic disciplines. Al is already transforming the world as we know it and will drive our economy as the technology becomes more pervasive. Every student -independent of discipline - needs to understand which tools are available to them, and how to use these tools to solve the complex problems of the future.
